Bali – Midnight Parting Shots

So we’ve reached the end of our stay at Bali, and on the last night, we decided to head to the beach to capture the beach in images. All the images that follow are unedited except for resizing and captioning. They were taken using the slow-shutter technique with the assistance of a tripod and a infrared remote trigger. The thing like the sun, hehe, it’s actually the moon. And the tiny specks on the sky are stars. I’m sharing the camera settings for each picture on the captions. Enjoy.

Bali Day 1 – Nightshots

So finally, the last set of the first day pictures. All these shots, as you guessed it, were taken at night. It was during our hunt for dinner that we stopped every 20 paces to take pictures. Next week, I’ll start off wit Day 2 pictures, and mind you, there are A LOT of pictures to share. I’ll release them by sets according to location and/or theme settings. Till then, enjoy these.

Thaipusam 2010 – Idols

Headed out to Batu Caves on Friday 29th January at 10pm. What a tiring endeavour! Walked around and managed to use some natural lighting to capture pictures. Without a flashgun, I’ve got to rely on my built-in flash or natural light. As a built-in flash sucks in lots of battery power, I had to be careful with my shots. All being said and done, I enjoyed my first photoshoot for Thaipusam.
