Uluwatu mesmerized me more than any other place in Bali. Sure, Tanah Lot was great, but Uluwatu was on a high cliff and the experience was second to none. The only thing you have to watch out for are the monkeys. They try to snatch away anything you have with you, so taking precaution with your gadgets or even bodily ornaments is a highly recommended practice.
